Starting line ups 2010 to 2018

Hi folks, saw someone mention in another post a comparison between starting line ups at the start of the season. Got me curious as to using this as a chance to compare how the club has developed since Parrish took over and so I have compiled below all the starting lineups from the first day of the season. I think it makes for some interesting names on there. Interesting to see Zaha started in 2010 for example.

Let's hope we have the same ref as we did against newly promoted Norwich. Seemed to remember him striking off a CamJam effort. Take that result over last years debacle against newly promoted Udders. However we will be in better shape against newly promoted again !! Fulham but it is another tough opener. COYP.

see Ward has started every opening game since signing for us,how the squad has changed the bench never looked strong early doors but got better,

It's sobering to see the line-up for our first game back in the top flight in 2013-2014 - it shows just how far we have progressed.

I remember turning up for that Spurs game and being surprised to find that the only new signing ( and there were many of them!!) to be starting was Gayle.For the first half hour of that game we looked like rabbits caught in the headlights. So, due credit to the spirit of that side that we only lost 1-0, and I think I'm right in saying that was a penalty given away by Moxey?

Yeah was. ts burnt into the inside of my eyelids. We held on I was so gutted.

Was gutted but proud and gutted for Moxey too as I thought he fought hard whilst completely out of his depth. The ball hit his arm at fairly close range and it was harsh imho.

 


So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet.
