I think Palace would have let Henessey go, but it would have cost more to replace him. Cheaper just to offer a new contract and not pay a transfer fee for a new keeper.

Nice of you to reply on this thread, as you dont care

I care, I want to have a keeper who wins points for us, maybe 10 points a year.

There is no way on God's green earth that we have signed one of the best goalies in La Liga to be backup to Wayne Hennessey.

He may not start him immediately but before long it will be King Vicente between the sticks.

Didn't we sign STEEEEEEVE only to deem him 'crap' & wow, he's now a world cup winner(albeit not playing)

Just saying . .

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Mandanda and Allardyce had a falling out, and he fell foul of some of Allardyce's fitness rules I believe.

The Mandanda situation has nothing to do with Guaita, as they are different people, managed by totally different managers at different times. La liga is of a higher standard than Ligue 1 also.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

No he wasn't. He was beaten by one clever move from a striker. Other than that neither keepers had anything to do, but Guaita, like Mandanda before him, put the defence under pressure with an excess of rollouts.

I completely agree with this post.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)
