Paraguayan attacking midfielder playing for Atlanta Utd in MLS. So far this season eight goals and nine assists. Yes it is not the greatest league but getting better! Currently on $ equivalent of £35k a week, would fancy London and Premier League? Chance to sell on if he develops?

Would love Almiron, has great acceleration, great on the ball, tireless worker and has great end product. Same with Martinez. He can score with his feet and with his head. Good hold up play and is a poacher as well. Has 25 goals on MLS with 3 months still left in the season.

As an Atlanta United supporter, I've been keeping an eye on the transfer news surrounding the two, and I don't think there've actually been any bids for more than $10-15m for Almiron yet. Also, he's got some developing yet to do before he's anything more than a project for some European team. He's scored some great goals with Atlanta but tends to score in clumps. The rest of the time he spends either blasting the ball over the net or putting soft shots right at the keeper. Really good motor in the middle of the pitch though, with great speed and vision for a killer pass. Sources close to the team suggest we'd be willing to sell in January for the right price, but want to keep him around for the final push for the supporters shield.
