the only good thing about it is this. we have just had all the 'it's coming home' hype with the age old song and all the excitement. Being set in winter, what are the chances of The Lightning Seeds and Chris Rea teaming up for "It's coming Home For Christmas"???
Clinton is Clinton. I have known him for a long time, I know his mother... Simon Jordan |

I suspect we'll see a shut down of the Premier League from the end of November till late December. The big clubs would kick up one hell of a stink if they were expected to carry on without a break and without their star players. And, whilst we may have only limited sympathy for the likes of United, Chelsea etc. at this stage, we have no way of knowing how it could affect Palace in 4 years time. This would probably result in the League kicking off late July and not finishing till the end of May. Perhaps the League Cup could be abandoned for one season to free up some extra dates. Thank you Blatter and co. And the rest. I'd suspect a shutdown of all the top European leagues, and possibly the Championship, from late October until mid January. No summer tournament and then no domestic xmas schedule, what a load of balls.

The thing that surprises me the most is that anybody actually reads anything printed in The Sun or believes anything they write.
