Really all center politics in UK. Tories are hardly distinguishable from Labour once in power. Labour may threaten to renationalised: they won't. Tories may threaten benefit cuts and deportations of illegal immigrants: they won't get round to it. You could list countless things similarly. Hardly Mussolini v Lenin etc.

When I hire someone I have zero regard for their politics, just their fit and qualities for the job. Perhaps left wing people are just generally nicer and don't want to hang around with a load of gammons.

I was also on the branch committee of a trades union for 25 years and those who wished to stand for vacant positions weren't asked about political allegiance either; the only bar to candidacy was being a member of a different trades union.

If the lefties of Hol see themselves as even handed then that's great. I think most moderates are. However, the 'law' is there because we can see it's happened.

Exactly. I have to interview people fairly regularly for where I work. I can't exactly recall my training but I'm pretty sure even asking or alluding to that would be a big no no.
