Was good in our run in though. And was playing with a knock. Certainly had one or two seasons left in the top flight. His fight and quality was part of what kept us going in the dark days. We do need a quality replacement. Crucial for a lot of unnoticed work.
Our central midfield 3 has no other options at present. We would have to play Puncheon or Reidewald; neither of whom have done much to suggest they are as good as Cabaye. In other words our midfield is currently thinner and of less quality than it was last season - hardly onwards and upwards.
