The main issue with traffic wardens is that they should be there to stop people parking in dangerous places, from impeding traffic, or causing a nusience to residences. However, they are assigned in areas to maximise revenue and not public safety and that's mainly the fault of councils.

Perhaps we should rename them Revenue Collectors

There is a parking God.
Got my appeal accepted and pcn cancelled.
They did state that it is 'this time' so won't get away with a bad ticket display again I presume.
Job done.

Wish I had dealt with it, you'd still be paying

Well that's awfully kind of you.Im glad to say Steph that my 40 quid will now be spent sensibly on beer and fags.
I'm sure that you can take it out on another unsuspecting motorist.
I did used to live in west Croydon and back then I got a few tickets late at night for unloading shopping on the zig zags.
God forsaken place then and even more now.
My old flat got burnt in the riots.

The smiley face meant I was joking. As I said, some boroughs let people off for minor first offences.

Sorry to hear that.

To be fair, I was tired so probably my fault.

So where should I invoice for my parking appeal advice?

Indeed. ^^ I was parked in an off-street car park the other day, and saw a warden wondering round checking tickets displayed in empty cars.
Meanwhile, in the High Street (50 metres away), vans were parked on pavements and double-yellow lines, causing traffic congestion.
wardens don't want confrontation, so they target empty vehicles that have over-stayed their ticket time, or badly displayed their ticket.
They are scum.
Glad the OP got the right outcome.

I disengage, I turn the page.

Well you can be sure my rates are not the same as Islington.
£6.90 per hour, included in this is a £2 per hour diesel tax so that makes me feel really happy inside. Knowing that I'm paying for a clean and healthy environment. NOT
