Well it stands to reason really, we'll only pillage if it's worth pillaging ? That makes no sense. I'm talking about their economic performance now not many decades...what is it 50 to 70 years since any British controlled the administrations. The institutions and practices that were set up were an improvement not some impediment. The statistics are all there for you to research the living standards went down when the British left. Still, the left like to believe in their self hating lies because it's all about the narrative. China are the colonial force in Africa now......the noise from the left about it?....nothing.

I won't disagree that we improved civilisations since we were a more advanced race but only for our own benefit, for me it's more about the moral question, whether we improved standards is neither here nor there, it's whether we have the right to impose our way of life on other civilisations? especially by force. Even in more modern examples like Iraq, it was for Regime change and oil, did we do it to help their people? like hell !

Same with a nation? This makes no sense. For example, think all the advancements made from within a society itself. Do you not think that in some circumstances these were imposed.....For example, the industrial revolution.....Plenty of people didn't want that.....So do you think we should have left them tilling the fields. All until someone more advanced comes and fecks us then. Essentially this kind of thinking just creates weak societies for stronger ones to take over. It shows a complete ignorance for how human nature is....how human nature works. It you don't advance you are taken over or taken advantage of by stronger nations.....basic history then, basic reality now. By the way, stop spreading the misinformation about oil in Iraq. Research Iraqi oil and you will see that the revenue goes to the Iraqi government. The 'war for oil' meme was always a myth spread by the ignorant in both high and low places. The Iraq war happened in the context of 911 and as a Bush opportunity to finish what the first Iraqi war didn't finish....also to give democracy to these nations in the hope that they wouldn't remain turd holes and we could gain a pro American Iraq....which would remove a threat to Israel and so on...but it didn't work.
