Always moving, always on his toes, really good physically. From all the strikers I've seen so far, he looks the best (course, affordable ones, not counting Luis Suarez, Cavani, Diego Costa). Smolov was strong, but a little slow, he's aproaching 30, Egypt or Australia had really poor center forwards.

Feyenoord wanted 20 million for him. Scored 21 and assisted 14 for Feyenoord last year in the Eredivisie, was top scorer (the many assists show that he's a team player too). Had a little downfall this year, with just 13 scored in all competitions (2 in the Champions League) and 3 assists, but in less playing time.

You could say that you can't trust the Eredivisie goalscorers because they do score a lot of goals in that league and it's unknown if they can make it in the PL. But Vincent Janssen for example did not flop in the PL, he just didn't get playing time in Tottenham because he had Harry Kane ahead of him.
The Eredivisie remains a solid league and 20 million for its 27 yo top scorer is a very good price as far as I'm concerned.

He also has good scoring record in Denmark before he moved to the Eredivisie. Won't be a Luis Suarez, but other Eredivisie top scorers like Huntelaar, Bas Dost, Wilfried Bony or Depay have done well abroad.

Anyone who performs creditably at the World Cup will have an inflated asking price. Parish doesn’t do inflated prices.

He was excellent in the first half today. Disappeared in the second.

Assist was filth.

If we were going for anyone it would have to be Leckie the Australian wide player who looked very useful and wouldn't cost a fortune...

That's exactly how I think a team should NOT buy players, based on their perfoance in just 1 match at the WC. Leckie has not been extremely speciaal the last 2 years, so that's his normal performance.
