I am considering taking out a Crystal Palace Membership next season, Silver or Gold (should they be available), never had one before and I would be grateful for any comments or advice from HOLers. I know I can get information from the club but it's not really the horse's mouth is it?

I have supported Palace for over 60 years am retired and live on the far edge of the New Forest.I hope to be able to get to, say, about half a dozen home games and maybe away tickets for fixtures near me at Southampton and Bournemouth.

Presumably as a Gold Member I would get first dibs and if Silver I would have to make do with the scraps? But bearing in mind the small number of matches that I would be able to attend and that I would be happy with any game, I don't need to go to the biggies is there any benefit in the Gold over the Silver membership?

And what about the seat? Is there some choice? Where would be the best place to sit? I don't mind being in the thick of it, in fact it quite appeals to me.

In the past I have parked near Woodside Green, lunch at the Joiners ( a haunt of my youth) then leg it to the ground and back. There may be better alternatives?

All suggestions gratefully welcome.

Good luck with that I am season ticket with over 2000 loyalty points and haven't managed this yet.

Go for the gold mate
that extra 24 hours makes all the difernce in getting decent seats and better option of getting 2 tickets together.

Forget about getting away tickets for Bournemouth as we get such a small allocation you wont get one.
The only way you will get a ticket for that one is by knowing some home fans that may get you a ticket in their end.

Southampton we get a better allocation so never had too much of a problem getting tickets for their library.

Quite a few Palace fans in the New Forest and Bournemouth area.

When travelling up get the train mate.
So much easier.

Not Bournemouth, but surely it would have been enough for Southampton?

Go for Gold, though forget about Bournemouth away, no chance.
The earlier date for availability only goes for home games. Away is solely based on points so unless you plan to buy about 5k in merchandise you won't get first choice. Having said that: I only have about 2000 points yet made it to most away games I wanted, missed out on the Bournemouth one though. London games will naturally be harder as well.
Still well worth it unless you don't mind restricted views and being behind a post. Normally there is plenty of choice in seats, mainly in the Arthur though. If you are on your own you may even get one in the Holmesdale Lower if you want to be "in the thick" of it.
I am hoping the club will scrap the bundle system. It has been hell this season with the late chances of fixtures.
