Watched Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds for a while on Saturday then Florence + the Machine last night

Totally boring, so many of these headline acts just churn out the same repetitive music.

NG can still write the odd decent tune but it's the same old garbage he's been doing for 20 years, and florence is just FlorenZZzze, not sure how they justify being a headline act. They're not new or fresh, edgy.

Safe, middle of the road, boring music.

Yeah not exciting to hear at all.

Perhaps something to do with it is, which of those has a truly great voice? Florence sounds like she’s constantly climaxing and the Galla gallachers sounds like dying crows. Where’s today’s Freddie Mercury’s, David Bowie’s with not only good vocals and stage presence but also great music.

I watched a bit of Franz Ferdinand. Normally bands increase the tempos of songs they've been doing for years, but they decided to do their most famous song, "Take Me Out" slower. It became a tiresome plod. I saw a bit of Taylor Swift. The music was bland and she dressed like a young prostitute- as brace-teethed 13 and 14 year old girls watched in admiration. Personally, I've still not fully recovered from watching 3 minutes of the Shaggy & Sting team-up a few weeks back. I suppose every ageing generation thinks pop music is in decline though.

I rely on gems like ELO at Glastonbury in 2016!

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

The Who smashed it as well but they have real stage presence and represent something, these current acts don't seem to be bothered to put a proper live set together
