Does anyone else remember this blaring out at Selhurst in the 80's? I think the P.A announcer used to say it was one of Steve Coppell's favourites. Around the same time as his 2 over records - Holly Johnson's 'Americanos' and Lloyd Cole's 'Lost Weekend'. Funny the s*** you remember! Edited by Pikester (26 May 2018 10.00pm)
You fed me, you bred me, I'll remember your name. |

Edited by Pikester (26 May 2018 10.00pm) funnily enough a couple of years ago I got to thinking about Holly Johnson's 'Americanos'. I didn't even know the name of the song but after a bit of Googling found it. It's really nostalgic for me thinking about going to Palace in my early years. The memories are hazy, but it's sunny, buzzing and the red/blue is bright and vivid, open-air toilets. It's the only association I have with this song - being at Selhurst Park. First game was in 88 so I'd imagine it's from around that time and is now on several of my Spotify playlists.
