don't disagree but artists could easily refuse to use these companies and use a different platform, but they probably get a nice pay off for using them.

If Sheeran could sell out any venue several times over he doesn't need Ticketmaster or the like so why use them?

Presumably so that if there is a monumental f*** up he's not liable for everything.

Ticketmaster sell the tickets to their sister resale sites. It is brazen touting and never know how they have got away with it for so long

Viagogo is a different company owned by Ebay but they are all in cahoots, unless you believe a geniune person and his 50 friends can't make the gig and realised this 2 minutes after buying the tickets

Well they can't do it in this case.

Viagogo isn't owned by Ebay, StubHub is, the same guy who sold StubHub to Ebay then setup Viagogo.

It's owner is called Pugnacious Endeavors, which is rather apt as they seem to be argumentative t***s.

I think yesterday on the news they had a segment where Nine Inch Nails have just announced a tour & the stipulation was/is that if you want to see them Live you must queue up for a ticket (like you did 20 years ago) absolutely NO online sales..

That's quality.... a great idea.

I struggle to sympathise for someone with such a boring taste in music.

Nice Ethics from Ed. But it'll need every artist to adopt the same approach to touting, for this to succeed.

Some Governments choose not to regulate and rely on commercial forces to see everything right. Hmmmmm

I disengage, I turn the page.
