Wouldn't normally feel sorry for the Scousers but I will make an exception in this case. There seems to be a problem with acquiring landing slots at the airport, the Ukrainians are not doing themselves any favours.

UEFA need to look at this after the final. 2000 Real Madrid fans returned their tickets because they gave up trying to get to Kiev, all around too expensive. Whoever organised this probably does the Premier league fixtures they would book Palace at Newcastle on Boxing day noon kick off.

I think future bidders should include transport and hotel costs in the bid.

My sympathy for the Scousers maybe related to my holiday. The timing of my connecting flight has just been changed for a 2nd time I booked a hotel because it was an 8am flight from Thessaloniki now its a 5.30am flight which means leaving the hotel at 2am and if I cancel the hotel won't refund the booking.

Still enough of my woes lets hope its a great final. Geddit in their aye aye

The Mayor has already been in every news source possible to inform us what a great job he's doing for them.

Why does anyone think the host city bids for it? To make as much money out of it for their city/country as possible. And UEFA couldn't care less as they want the same - the best return for them.

Why people then get surprised or indignant that they're overpaying for flights and accommodation compared to normal prices, when demand vastly outstrips supply and rationale thought has already gone out of the window.

If it was about the fans watching it they'd only have it hosted in the 5 or 10 biggest stadiums in Europe and they wouldn't set the venue until the semi finals are finished.

Ukraine had the euros in 2012, no legacy, stadium burned to the ground and any chance of boosting their economy went to rat s*** very quickly

They don't deserve it, only a handful of corrupts will see any benefit
