Signed to keep Andy company in the treatment room Agreed - IMO dodged a bullett - if we ever actually did fire one..!! Look Jack and his agents been touting him around everywhere - best deal that they could get if reports to be believed is £100K a week pay as you play from the Wet Spam..!! So even his new employers don't expect him to play every week. Don't get me wrong - a fit Wilshire of 2 years ago walks into the midfield of any Prem team including the top 6. But that ain't the Wilshire that Wet Spam have signed - he's lost a yard of pace and his ankles are made of glass. I could be proved wrong but this just smacks of the usual Wet Spam nonsense of appeasing the fans of buying a player that can play "in the Wet Spam way"..!! Time will tell but think as I said we have dodged one..!! COYP

He hasn’t been the same for a long time. He was hyped up to be the next big thing after a superb performance in the CL against Barca but sadly injury has dictated his career. We’ve undoubtedly dodged a bullet. Would a fully fit Wilshere improve us? Yes. But as I’ve said previously in this thread, I could literally compile a long list of players from Europe who are younger, better already, not injury prone and probably cheaper. If there is one position that isn’t lacking in 2018 world football, it’s creative midfielders. The fact we seem to be confined to Yann M’villa and maybe an all or nothing on RLC, shows just how incompetent Freedman & co are.
We're the Arthur over ere! |

Shame as if he’d stays injury free he’ll be a good signing. But that’s the 25 million dollar question. If West Ham have actually got him on a pay as you play deal then they’ve de-risked it for themselves. If that’s true then really gutted we couldn’t have got him here on a similar deal. But hey time to move on.
