Young player is tough, as AWB hasn't played many games and RLC has looked average as often as he's looked good, whilst missing a load of games.

People have been complaining about RLC for most of the season how he flatters to deceive but after one exceptional game he is now seen as young player of the year.

Only on HOL

To be fair before he got injured he played well enough to get into the England squad and had a pretty fine game for them. I'd like to have seen what he would have achieved without the injury.

I agree with what he said without the Luka in second place part.

Got it - just wasn't that easy to tell given your first post said he's a decent player who's had a mediocre season, and Townsend, PVA and McCarthur are all more deserving of it.

Still, at least you've admitted you were wrong.

For me it has to be Zaha. Without Wilf we most surely would have been relegated. Luka has been excellent but many others have also been excellent. Zaha stands out as the exceptional performer. Young player has to be AWB.

Wilf wins the penalties for Luka to score.

Ask yourself: who was our most important player this season. No debate.

POTY: Wilf, We have not got a point without him & would have been relegated a long while ago. Luca & Tomkins runners up.

YPOTY: Loftus-Cheek, AWB has not played enough games; as promising as he looks.

All fair comments, but how many games did Sakho play last season.
