Not usually the biggest fan of loan deals, but seems to of been a strategy that’s worked out okay for us in recent seasons. Could definitely do with more numbers in wide attacking areas and a young talent just starting to break through could be a great way of partly filling one of the spots. Will be interesting to see if the new manager places as much importance on youth development as Arsene has in his career. We’ve got history with arsenal & loans, granted one was an absolute disaster (Sanogo), but I think Nelson genuinely looks to have something special about him and it could be a great way of strengthening our squad for next season, whilst also progressing his development. A lot of Arsenal’s youngsters are so overrated, I would rather one from our own academy who has palace in their blood!

It will be interesting to see how loan deals pan out next season with the abolition of the winter transfer window. Does anyone know whether loan signings will only be allowed in the summer window, or will there be the opportunity to bring in loan signings during the season. I guess that would decide our loan strategy next year.
