I enjoyed Thailand went on my own last year when I was 26 and went as a 3 week blow out over Xmas new year it was good but you have to keep your wits about you especially if your on your own I wouldn’t carry too much cash get a travel card with a spare and whatever you do not take any drugs off any locals (if that floats your boat). . I went to Samui and the other islands and did really enjoy it Koh Tah was better IMO and only a ferry ride away, but Samui was great there’s a sports bar opposite ark bar resort that was showing football and seemed to bring in a crowed. I must say I didn’t find it as cheap as I had heard before but it can be done if you drink the local drinks and eat the local foods. Ps Chang is great, unregulated beer at its finest just prepare for the changover.

This might go without saying but 100% get insurance a lad I met had got an infected toe from a cut on Phi phi and ended up in hospital for 6 days racking up £4000 in medical bills and his insurance covered it no probs just had to pay the 150 excess

I go to Thailand at least once every year and have been well over 40 times. You do need to visit Pattaya and go visit Kevin, the owner at Whiskers Bar in Soi Chaiyapoon, Central Pattaya. He is an expat Brit who will set you right with everything. Also has all the live football. By the way, I arrive there 7th June for one month. PM me for all the real details.

Crikey, you've been more times than Gary Glitter

Thanks all noted. Sort of linked, but with regards to vaccines Ive gone with Hep A, Typhoid, Diptheria. Left out Rabies and Hep B because 1.) Global shortage 2.) Left it too late. Nurse said we should be ok with the ones we've got but presume this is ok? Not going too far off the beaten track...

Plan for us is:

1.) BK 4 days
2.) Phuket 4 days - to visit islands
3.) Koh Samui 8 days - to visit island
4.) Bali 7 days

Bit rushed but plenty to do - looking forward to it now!

Dont let Cabaye go
