I am against our involvement in Syria, however what really gets up my nose is Corbyn's Stop the War mates who were out in force outside Parliament. Funny how they never protest about Russian actions in the Middle East and the Ukraine? Seconded. They come out with 'international law' when Russia been rubbing its groin on international law for years now.....you never see their posts complaining about Russia. As for involvement in Syria. Most people don't actually listen to what Trump said. He wants to pull out of Syria and he's said that the US can't fix the middle east and that it shouldn't even try. This was a virtue signal strike over chemical weapons usage. There will be no major deployment in Syria and the US will only operate through a protection of Israel basis. For me personally I'd ensure the Kurds were protected....but I'm not sure how committed Trump is to them. Edited by Stirlingsays (17 Apr 2018 8.27am)

Absolutely they called for regime change in Iraq and the other countries cited. I'll try to dig out some evidence for you later after work. I'm still waiting Darwin.

I am disappointed that we got involved. It is difficult to justify going in whilst ignoring the Yemen. However because laughably Saudi Arabia is our ally we close our eyes to what is going on there. The strike was purely political. The Allies told the Syrians it was coming so they had days to move people and equipment as evidenced by the lack of fatalities. We just hit empty buildings so what was the point.
No, financial. Once again, this is the (boringly repetitive) reaction to anyone who dares to turn their back on the dollar. Cunds.

People haven't been listening to Dollar for decades now. Ultimately the dollar isn't falling.....2008 proved to me that the system isn't allowed to fall. Recessions yes.....capitalism falling....not allowed. Revolution requires blood...power is only ripped from hands it isn't given up......and 2008 only saw hipsters and far lefties camping outside Wall Street and Westminister. Until it's the common man and woman prepared to spill blood it's no dice. And I just can't see that happening......and I'm not advocating for it either. Edited by Stirlingsays (21 Apr 2018 12.25pm)

Apparently Trump has a picture of former POTUS Andrew Jackson hanging in his office.

Do you see democracy falling to the part oligarchical systems used by the Russians and Chinese at some point this century? Also lets not forget that, as of yet, alternative currencies have been allowed to exist. If they were considered a serious threat to western hegemony they could be declared illegal and forced underground.....they would lose a lot of attractiveness amongst the mainstream. They might have a useful role to play in changing the banking sector for the better but I don't think they will be allowed to contribute to any sort of western or capitalistic demise. Personally I think these questions of who leads the world....western or eastern isn't just a question of finance but of technology and freedom.

Hence the continual 'attacks' on Bitcoin and the like. Nobody cared when they were trading for pennies.
The west is doing a fine job on it's own tbh. Crypto's will take-over as part of a natural progression.
