I love Roy Hodgson
Quality coach /manager
But to have so many injuries in one season some of the blame has to be on him and the coaching staff
Yes I know the lads have had to train hard etc
But these constant injuries are unprecedented .

And almost all are contact injuries, which is just bad luck & not the fault of the coaches.

Because its a contact injury means its not down to working before that contact injury , interesting .
So a car that has done 100.00.00 miles is just as good and strong as a car thats done 50.000.00 ~

Ok

I just want to be sure I know what you are saying Croydonlad. Are you saying that if the players trained less then they would be less likely to be injured?

Sorry thought this thread was about roy being injured and was rushing out to buy him some grapes and a get well soon card.
Turns out its a gripe at things we dont have full insight of, but hey ho its a rainy day.

Are you saying that if the players trained differently that would not suffer contact injuries? Arguably the injuries to Dann and Puncheon were self-inflicted by poor tackles and I don't see how any training would have prevented Bakary's broken ankle, Wilf's knee injury or Schlupp's ankle injury. Maybe some muscle injuries might be avoided with different regimes but I don't see how Roy or his staff can be blamed for the others?

I think the PL is an intensely physical experience crammed into ninety minutes out of a week, I am sure the level is far more than say 10 years ago.

And totally different from my era, Palace 5 ManU 0 that would be slow motion on a pitch of mud.
