Great read but they were playing against each other ie each side played 403 mins and no pressing in those days either. Scary though.

True but the players were allowed to tackle strongly and the pitches were much worse.

Tomkins was fine after the Huddersfield game butnow injured?
Wickham nearly there and gone again.
We are doing something wrong in training - we must be!
With a full team we had a chance- but Saturday now - .........

Whilst he scored for the under23's looking at the video footage he looked well short of the required mobility for the 1st team whatever he said to the Adder after the game. Probably stepped it up a little in training and produced a tweak. Whatever our failings in attack couldn't see him coming in at the death to save us from the possible drop after being so long out. Give him a chance next season but definitely get in another fit striker, if we intend to keep him.

When a player is out for this long they always pick up little knocks and twinges in parts of the body that are totally unused to being used in that way any more. It's why I really don't see him back till next season with a full pre season under his belt. The lad's 24 and showed in the FA Cup run how good he can be for us, so let's support him rather than slag off. Unless of course he is deliberately getting injured or faking it, then all you perfect athletes out there are correct and we should kick him out for one of you.
The Wilf one is the one that should concern us, because there was actually no need for him to get injured if Roy used bloody substitutes. The refusal to use his bench is gonna hurt us in the long run.

I'd agree with this but I suspect that given the apparent nature of some of our transfer dealings there will be an assumption that he is fine and we don't need anyone else. Or if being charitable in opinion that we can't afford another striker whilst still paying him.

Picture on FB showing Wilf's shirt hanging up along with Delaney, which could indicate Tomkins out.
