Robbie Savage touting Hughes for the job.

I would be amazed if Silva goes there. Pretty sure he will rock up at Goodison in the close season.

the dignified don't even enter in the game

Much is said about a manager "Bounce" and there are 8 games left for Southampton to play.

When he went to QPR to replace Warnock they won 1 of their first 8 games whilst he was in charge.QPR got 5 pts in those 8 games.

At Stoke replacing Pulis they won 2 of their first 8 games with him at the helm.Stoke picked up 8 pts in those games.

I don't think Pellegrino will be too bothered as managers are dismissed routinely by Southampton.

Managers know what to expect, a year down there is par for the course that's if you are succesful/lucky and get that long.

What is it with Savage sticking up for Hughes at every opportunity. In the dieing throes of his time at Stoke defended him to the hilt.
Hughes another manager, like Pardew, overrated and on the manager merry go round!

It was Hughes who signed Savage for Blackburn from Birmingham for £3 Mill.

Welsh, innit boyo.

They should never have sacked Puel, he did a good job. Comfortably safe and a cup final.

Southampton finished 8th in the PL under Puel and as mentioned reached the FA Cup Final.Think that supporters weren't happy with the style of play and they only won 1 of their last 8 games so never ended the season well.

League.

Their last 8 included Man U, Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal, two of which they drew with. They needed perspective. The only real complaint they can have in those 8 games is the loss at home to Stoke, which was on the last day of the season and any result at all wouldn't have moved them up or down the table.
