... that is was predominantly for safe standing. Wonder where all the bandwagoners targetting a group of our own fans are now? On a slightly more positive note, I hope that the fact clubs are pushing for safe standing means that we will get it soon. A lot of us stand anyways, and a lot of the grounds in England desperately need something to help the sterile atmospheres.

And a singing area . Really? All the noisy people stand together, always have. Back of the holmesdale , middle of the Arthur (when it was standing), now the corner of the Holmesdale. Don’t need the club to organise it, they should concentrate on a striker, goalkeeper and stopping the water p**sing in through the air conditioning unit in the red and blue bar and maybe Bar staff that can speak English.

The bar staff can speak English. Think you may have been too p@ssed to understand them!

I agree with that Casual, and you would think if there was any safe standing, you would assume that anyone who would be more vocal would stand there anyways. I feel as if the whole confusion was massively caused by the club's own drawbacks.

Worth exploring and pushing for I suppose.

More likely that the plan was to move the HF to the middle but the protests from those already holdings STs in that area was too strong. I know 8 blokes who threatened not to renew if this happened. I think the safe standing attempt is just a PR way of covering this up. Anyway the good news is my drinking partners will be around next season!
I am enjoying being back at Selhurst and having a beer with my mates just like we have done for the past 40 years. Through Thick and thin we stick with our club. Not chairman, players or managers, OUR CLUB! |

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

All good. Nothing bad. |

Safe standing would of been pursued by the PL announced and a change of legislation required for this to happen , which it clearly would not before the start of next season. Not just by palace bunging in a few rails and hoping the PL and government wouldn’t notice.. ffs. Complete smokescreen...

The best time for Palace to make any “singing” or “safe standing “ changes will be if and when the “new” stand is built.
Palace 13th 2017/18. |

Plenty of people of Twitter, and a couple here, were pretty much calling for their heads. Not to mention the obscenities aimed in their direction... things you'd expect from rival fans, i.e. w***ers, kids, virgins etc. Don't get me wrong, I find some of the stuff they do a bit cringey, but Christ, seeing the reaction to this as soon at it came out was downright embarrassing - the amount of people who will blame a portion of our fans at a moment's notice, is frankly disgraceful. Similar to the bellends who will also call some of our fans 'nigels'.
