Does he have a point, or is there some envy about the tv revenue of the PL? Personally I think a bit of both, but there is no doubt atmosphere has gone at a lot of the games, and that fans interests are not just a bit behind tv's, but barely taken into consideration at all.

I guess we'll see if the German fans' nerves hold until 2021. It's all well and good protesting at the start, but will they still be boycotting games in three year's time? Especially the season ticket holders who will lost out on several games per season. If the boycott works then TV companies won't pay as much for the rights, which will limit the investment in German football. Again this could have a negative impact on Germany's performance in world football, but they're not doing too bad at the moment without it.

I hope for german football it doesn't sell out like the english game. I see German atmospheres are how a stadium should be. Interestingly on talksport this morning they were tongue in cheek talking about Clubs and Premier league buying people just to make an atmosphere a bit like a film or tv buys in a crowd. Sadly I can see it going that way. TV and the Premier League would love to have football without the fans it is much easier for them to run it. You can see it with VAR, it's all set up for TV. The problem is atmosphere....so buy that in!

for research purposes they could use Arsenal's fans as the quietest in the UK and ours as the most passionate.

As for Willos point, I'd imagine that number was "seats allocated" rather than those who actually turned up. How many times have we seen "sell out" games at Wembley, yet huge sections of the crowd gp empty. Usually due to corporate give aways etc. The seats are "taken" in the names of VIPs, but they don't actually turn up! As for the English game? TV rights aren't the first time we've suffered changes to the game to tackle issues, so it's something were more used to, the early kick offs to combat crowd rowdiness being one of them.
