Hodgson is the most decent of eggs, a splendid cove and worthy of great respect not only for his football knowledge and experience but because of the way he conducts himself in a very dignified manner. If, God forbid, we are relegated I don't think he should be made culpable at all and clearly fingers will be pointed towards others rather than "Our Roy".We will all be hugely disappointed if this is our fate, indeed distraught, but I for one will really feel sorry for Hodgson who accepted a gargantuan challenge and gave us a real fighting chance of avoiding the drop.
