I fear we may finish bottom three. However odds of 7to1 to be relegated could be a way of softening the blow!

Of course it will be tough until the end of the season and I am not at all being blase about it, but we are 5 points better off than this time last year and 4 places higher. We are also 3 points clear (not just of 18th but 17th too) and we have an easier final few games with, yes, a better team than last year. Zaha isn't out for long too. I am reasonably confident we will stay up which is just an amazing thought considering our atrocious start to the season. Stay up now, give Roy a decent summer window, and ensure we don't fall into a relegation battle AGAIN next season. All I want for us is midtable stability in the short/medium term. Not too much to ask!

Fortunately, Roy does seem to have given us a bit of defensive resilience. There may well be the odd game against the top six sides where we might ship more than a couple but against everyone else we rarely let in more than one which gives us a real chance.
