WE were good all round. Deserved 3 points. If we keep going like this we will be fine.

Agree, fantastic performance by PVA. When he was with Sunderland he chipped in with some important goals. Lets hope his got one or two in his locker. We got some tough games coming up but we are a match for anyone at Selhurst. COYP

Here's hoping because it seems Parish has taken a chance on this season for the benefit of next season and the really testing summer transfer window we have in front of us. Yes PVA was impressive but one has to analyse his performance in the context of how Newcastle set out their stall and the tactics they deployed. PVA is very quick and has a hammer of a left-foot but I have always viewed him as a player who is better coming forward than actually defending.

There was a young mixed race lad walking up Holmesdale Road with a Sunderland coat with Dafabet on the back, thinking it was pretty funny. Then more big geordies turned up singing how much they hate Sunderland, but not putting it on a late teenager before he asked Stewards at the gates to his entrance in the main stand. Patrick, invite him every game if you play like that. But that coat could've been suicidal. Luckily it's not en route after away pubs so sense prevailed.

I thought he was head and shoulders the best player opening 25 minutes, in fact I thought our biggest threat came from him and also the excellent Fosu-Mensah. Refreshing to see us dribble out from the back and mix things up, enhanced even more when Sakho came on. Just needed Loftus-Cheek in that team/a confident Benteke and we may have steamrollered Newcastle yesterday. McArthur was woeful first half but knitted things together nicely as the second half progressed, how the beeb gave him MOTM i'll never know. Wilf seems slower than usual, less tricks etc at the moment, although still massively influential in everything we do. Has he been told by Roy to keep it simple? I enjoyed the game a lot for an affair that was disjointed and scrappy at times, there was somehow still a nice flow to proceedings. Disappointed not to get a win but still bucket loads of points to play for. Keeps it fun!
