This.

When has he ever shown any loyalty to us? Was he around the club during our two Admin seasons? Was he f*ck.

You joined this site only a few months before myself and I was around way before the admin days.

I was born in Croydon.

I have told people this before my name is based off a ale drink I had many years ago in US

i cant stand either of them .southgate was the fist to say he wanted to leave if we got relegated and has never had a good thing to say about us since. as for talksport.....why give that scummy disgrace of a player joey barton a presenters job when there is lots of decent ex players who cant find work out there??

Exactly. Normally a youth player that goes on to have a great career to the highest level retains an open affection for his club. Especially when he went on to captain them, was the manager's golden boy (as he was under Smith) and is still best mates with one of the other palace players (Andy Woodman). But he's never publicly done that, even through two times of us potentially going out of business and out of the league, when players that had far more tenuous links with us, and far less stellar careers did just that and more.

If, as is in deed highly plausible, given his England managerial career is likely to last somewhere in the region of two years, and Hodgson's time left in the game similar, he is to end up as Palace boss I will be deeply unimpressed and sceptical of what his tenure would bring.

He's done nothing in the game managerially, had a very easy manage at Boro, took them up while spending big, then took them down again. Their fans dont rate him at all. After that he couldnt get a job, despite his career, england caps, supposed leadership qualities and general Home Countyness. Perfect fit for the other dross in the England set up like Stuart Pearce, Adey Boothroyd etc, and frankly i put him on the same level managerially.

Oh dear. It's going to happen, isn't it?

Could make a few £££ off the bookies.

In the interview he referred to us as ''The club I was at at the time.''

Maybe this will be enough to keep Parish away when Southgate fails and Roy walks.

oh dear what a dick you are, southgate and the rest who got relegated first time said we got us down we will get us up, or are you so blinked that you only want to remember what the papers say because they always get there facts straight,by the way most left second time so why pick on one

i think its you who is the short sighted dick, southgate went to villa in 95, couldn't wait to get out after we got relegated. he didn't play for us after we got relegated. he is in the same league as coleman for having turned there back on us
