Did anybody see mention of our wayward never-been during the latest window? A fine example of how to mess up a career.

Indeed but he still probably earning way more at Bursaspor than either of us ever will (me, certainly)!

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Feel for him a bit really. He was a boy when he left, given poor advice by people around him who probably were looking to line their own pockets. The reason I dislike spurs, think the stick he gets is a little harsh tbf.

I'm not sure that he did mess up his career as I think that he never progressed as expected and perhaps the peak of his ability was when he was 15 and if he had stayed with us would have been a one season wonder

Fair point but we saw what Manure did to Wilf, perhaps Spurs did the same to Bostock

Think having his debut at the age he did will always make you look better than you actually are. Spurs should've been good for him

the lesson being , its better to climb to the top using baby-steps.

bostock should have stayed at Palace.

wilf should have gone up to somewhere like Everton/Spurs/Arsenal...but glad he didnt

Exactly he was 16 - and he seems a well balanced family man, good luck to him.

It's ok, Jesus loves him.

Clinton is Clinton. I have known him for a long time, I know his mother... Simon Jordan

I remember arguing to the hind-teeth about Bostock with Braunstone on here, my argument being "why would he want to leave, he'll be captain here for years, get chances etc etc...", his reply being along the lines of "He's blatantly going...money..chance to progress" It seems we were both right and both wrong.

As melodramatic as it might sound, but a little bit of me died with that transfer (Ian Wright was another one), which is probably why I can't even consider us losing Wilf...especially to a team of soppy tw4ts like Spuds.

Did we ever find out if it was true about Linekar getting into his dad's taxi, the rest being history..?
