Because we have such a favourable last six games I think if we can get a win and a couple of draws by then, which will put us on 31, we will be fine. I haven’t looked at any other team’s run-in but I can’t believe anyone has a better one than us.

If we are relegated (God forbid) there will be a great deal of reflection taking place. And a great deal of anger and finger-pointing.

If we are relegated by 3 pts, the 2 penalty misses in added-on time will come sharply into focus.

Yes lets all get angry at Luka and Benteke because they missed pens.

What a waste of energy. People miss penalties, it happens. Think the average conversion is around 75% so that's 3 out of every 4.

If we go down it'll be due to:
1. Poor finishing for a lot of the season
2. Lack of depth, particularly in attack
3. Performances dropping considerably in the last few months of the season

Personally I don't think we'll go because nothing about our performances over the last 3/4 months suggests it. Our defence is relatively solid and we have goals in us.

I'm happy with the result despite the fact we had the lead because momentum is so important in maintaining confidence. Since our nightmare start to the season we have managed to maintain that momentum with draws as well as wins. As a result we have seen confident performances almost every game. The only wobble I can think of was that ten minutes or so against City. West Ham was a tough game. It was winnable but it was also loseable so I'm just glad to be keeping the points ticking over. If we stay as we have been the past few months then we'll stay up, no question about it. Whether we'll do that is, of course, a different question.
