There is no one out there to replace our Wilf
If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong |

Update: I'd hijack (offer Lee Chung Yeong as replacement, maybe they'll bite)! ) In all seriousness, if he doesn't go to Southampton this winter, a serious look must be kept on this guy. IF Zaha does leave in the summer, I believe efforts should be made to sign him. He's the best option I see. Also, something funny about Promes, to lighten up the mood:

Still if Leicester make us a silly offer maybe it's a stop gap, we'd be left with two good wingers although one playing out of position and then can sort another out in the summer. Still think we could do with three quality wide players and selling Townsend for bucks and getting this lad in might help us get there. Anyway can't see us selling Townsend let alone hijacking this move when we've obviously trying to seal so many other deals as well.

If its an attempt at humor you have done well however I'm afraid you believe it, and massively overestimate yourself again. And oh yes, I would have an option: dead cheap for English standars as well: Youness Mokhtar from Zwolle. This is what disappointed me in de Boer, should have plucked some unproven, unknown gems from the Dutch league. Even if 1 out of 3 or 4 would have made it we would have done well. Yes, a good shout.Has a similar tenacity and determination as Zaha, runs a lot, likes to fight his opponent, but is more diminutive than the tall Wilf. 1. As good as he's been in the Championship, he's not as good as Zaha in the PL. 2. He's left footed, which in my opinion would make him an exact competition for Townsend, not for Zaha. He has been a starter this season for Newcastle. Has only lost the first 11 the last match I think, probably because Rafa Benitez doesn't even know he's their best assister this season. Finishing above Southampton should be a boost, as it would show better chances of staying in the PL next season. Liverpool are waiting for this guy to have a full season in the Premier League before making their move. Getting him for 30 million and selling him for 70 would be a great investment in my opinion.

I was talking about buying Quicy Promes with the Zaha money (Zaha will probably cost around 50-60 million, therefore 30 for Promes could be possible). If Promes is indeed too costly, I think there would be 1 more player who is cheap and could do exactly what Zaha does: CRISTIAN TELLO- now with Betis, after Barca and Fiorentina, 26 yo, awesome build, in my opinion has been terrific with his playing time: I'm not counting his time in Barcelona cause everyone gets to be spectacular there. As of now, he's unhappy with his playing time in Betis. The club doesn't have Premier League financial power and would sell for around 8 million, after having bought him for only 4 last summer. Another good option would be LUCAS OCAMPOS from Marseille- good built at 1,87, 23 yo:
IBAI GOMEZ, 1,78, 28 yo, formerly of Athletic Bilbao:
MOI GOMEZ, 1,76, 23 yo, formerly of Villareal and Getafe, now in first place in the Segunda Division with Huesca, on their way up to La Liga: The Brazilian BRUNO HENRIQUE, now of Santos, formerly of Wolfsburg (they're sorry now they did not keep him), 1, 84 in height, 27 yo, probably the best winger in the Brazil Serie A: So, TLDR: in case Zaha goes, I see Quincy Promes or Cristian Tello up for the task of replacing him. I'd bet my life that they can keep up the level.

Ever seen the movie. Moneyball. With brad Pitt? It’s all about him buying players purely based on their statistics rather than what you see on the field. So he buys nothing but lower league players that should win something cos of their stats. Rather than big time Charlie’s Think you’ll like it Based on a true story but in baseball not football

I've just watched football a long time now to know that future numbers only slightly deviate from precedents. You won't make a league goalscorers out of a nobody and you won't have a deception if you buy a player who had been previously scoring constantly.
