I've had another look at the company's affairs and Steve Parish holds 2.14% of the share capital and William Salthouse holds 1.49% so it looks like Daily Mail are just mud slinging in the hope that some might stick In the words of the immortal bard - move along as there's nothing to see here

How can there be a conflict of interest as the two are small shareholders and neither have any say in the running of the company. I wouldn't mind betting that Steve Parish has investments in loads of companies and probably doesn't have a clue who his co-shareholders are in them Absolutely. There is no conflict of interest at all. It's not like Parish is running the company and saying to him 'if you put in X cash I will do more business with you'

It's Just another example of the media being complete T0ssfaces. If I were Parish, or anyone mentioned to this story, id be calling my lawyers.

I'm sure someone with a diverse portfolio like the chairman would also hold shares (being a steady UK bank, and all) - ergo, me and Steve are business partners. Anyone who wants some inside info on anything, let me know

I wouldn't think HMRC would be happy that the Mail have been making"enquiries" especially as their investigations are on-going. Unfortunately by reading just the headline people are led to believe. With regard to Salthouse and Parish being involved with transfers... doesnt Lawton know we are crap at getting things done so obviously have had no help from an agent.

Hang on..... there's more.
According to Companies House They both worked for Selhurst based sports business Crystal Palace FC. Co-incidence? I don't think so. They were regularly seen at the same games. Parish deliberately dressed in a business suit and sat in the Directors box. While Murray dressed casually, in shorts and an acrylic top woven of man made fibres. He kept his distance, staying on the pitch and hovering on the shoulder of a defender, sometimes timing a run and nipping in behind him. They rarely talked or even made eye contact. But the synergy was there for anyone to see.

The only thing I have learnt from this Mail article is Murrys Missus looks quite a dirty bird.

PRESS GAZETTE Feb.7,2013 Online competition has raised the bar for sports journalism, according to Daily Mail chief sports writer Matt Lawton. The winner of the sport prize at the British Journalism Awards said: “It used to be you write a straight match report and that was enough. “It isn’t enough now. There’s much more of a need to tell the reader something they don’t know. “It’s good to be fresher and more imaginative to satisfy the reader. I think the last statement says all we need to know about Matt Lawton.
