I think it's us who don't get it. You're not supposed to sing at games anymore. You are only ment to sing song on you tube whilst dressed as a member of goldie lookin' chain. At games you are meant to stay quiet and only stay to the end if you are attempting to obtain an opposition players shirt with a prepared sign (even though he has torn your team to shreds).

It's a routine win for them and they're only interested in the top 5 around them and big champions league games. Then there's a lot of noise but very few songs to use. Some fans only buy away season tickets.

Highbury did have a better atmosphere but it was still quieter than many other grounds at the time. The move to the Emirates certainly made it worse. Not sure if its because of the additional tourists, higher prices keeping younger more enthusiastic fans out or new season ticket holders who dont know the traditional songs - or something similar. But before we get all high and mighty, I can remember when Palace was much quieter than it is now. Thank god for the boys in Block B is what I say. Maybe the lesson from the Emirates is that our new stand is an opportunity but also a threat. Edited by Aray (22 Jan 2018 8.00am)

Twice watching Palace, once Arsenal v Bournemouth & a champions league game, Arsenal v Barcelona (my brother is a gooner).
