Honestly, I couldn't have cared if we lost 7-0. I think a 2-1 loss is a great result. I think losing with the last goal being bundled over the line is a particularly good result as there are very little bragging rights. The real bragging will be who beats who in the league and who finishes above who - not this FA Cup comp. Brighton want to see us relegated. Thanks to Parish and another sh1t start to the season Brighton ALREADY have the bragging rights. You think they are going to cry if we won that cup round and went down? We ALREADY, thanks to Parish, have the humiliating honour of a PL record for the worst start to any season in 100 years. So f@ck off with your stupid whining about this FA Cup result. We need to put all of our very limited resources (thanks to Parish) into avoiding relegation and kicking Brighton's arse in the PL, because if we go down and they stay up, THAT my friends, will be something to brag and cry about and they will NEVER let us forget it. Do you not like Mr.Parish.?

The magic of the cup doesn't seem to have reached down under has it? or is it just that the tv coverage is more focused on the EPL ?

I wouldn't say we have no spine, we have plenty of players who put in a shift for us week in week out. If anything, last night showed us without Zaha we lack any creativity and this has been evident for a few seasons now with no real rumours of a number 10 being mentioned (apart from that Brazilian) which for me is a worry. We can buy 1/2 strikers but without another creative option other than Zaha they will struggle as much as Benteke has. Personally, I think RLC could solve that problem but Roy continues to play him on the wing which still baffles me..

I'm afraid 'the magic of the cup' died when Scumchester United pulled out of the tournament. No team takes it seriously anymore. It's a shame. If we stay up, then the magic of the cup really means fack all!

You hoped we'd lose to Brighton? Christ almighty Armani, you are not seeing the bigger and crucially important picture. If we had fielded a full team last night, our risk would have increased for injuries, as it happened it looks like we have lost Townsend and Schlupp for a few matches. Our focus had and has to be on PL survival and this meant putting out a virtual 2nd team against Brighton (they did as well). If we had a far stronger squad then a different story. Where you lay the blame for this is another matter but the two are linked. Needs must and it's Brighton who progress. Am I particularly bothered?.... No. Do I want us to get 3 points off them at our place ..... Absolutely. For the record, I also think we will finish above them. Well done Roy you are doing a great job thus far!

Sahko (although more like Tomkins these days) Seems solid enough to me if they are all on their game

There's a difference in seeing positives in losing and WANTING to lose. I'm as glad as the next guy our key players were fit for today, but going into an away match against your biggest rivals saying "Oh, I hope we lose today!" I'm sorry, that's pathetic

I'm sorry, that's pathetic Given the shenanigans associated with this cup tie, I simply lost interest in it. It isn't pathetic to look at the big picture, which for Palace must be finishing as high up the League table rather than a cup tie that was re-arranged to suit the powers that be. In normal circumstances I'd be upset with any loss to the weed but circumstances were far from normal. Added to that was a miserable trip to Boro had we won. It all adds up to good riddance to bad rubbish.
