Brighton & Hove Albion have issued bans to 12 of the club's supporters until the end of the season after reviewing CCTV footage of anti-social behaviour at the stadium ahead of and during the recent Premier League match against Crystal Palace.

The club and police are continuing to review CCTV footage from the league clash and have warned that further arrests and bans are possible - while a list of names and footage has also been provided to Crystal

and herein bold lies the boIIox. An arrest is not a trial , or even a conviction. Bans without proof/convictions are unacceptable.

Emails without client ref numbers/ticket numbers are spurious and utter boII0x.

This isn’t bollocks. A friend has spoken to the club about it after he received one and is also going down there today to argue his case

This matter has a longish thread on NSC, including the wording of the alleged letters from the club (which are the same as that Tweet):

There is also a response, reportedly from the FSF:

It's difficult to know what's the truth of it is.

Br13hton have a track record of subversion tactics from stewards sending our coaches around the houses...daubing faeces on their own walls and the club/fans and Police creating fake news about weapons etc being found on Palace fans etc....so nothing would surprise me tbf. The laughable thing is it ALWAYS backfires..

Edit: too slow re bans.

On NSC they're saying it's for rest of the season home & away - not just tonight's game.

After a number of us made complaints about the stewards at the last game there was a flurry of phone activity between Sussex police and the Met. Exactly what info was passed and in which direction I know not but, according to an admin assistant I know, it happened at Inspector level and below... which probably means that it was plods marking each others cards....not an official gathering of evidence. This leads me to conclude that it is BHAFC 'evidence' that prompted these moves.

Winning isn't everything. Without the defeats we would not value the victories. Still, it's a shame we can't play Chelsea every week.

Paul's office email is paul.mcgowan@cpfc.co.uk. Send him a copy of the message and ask for verification. I would think that if you are banned you would have received hard copy rather than an electronic message.

Did anyone who got an email go to the game ?
Was anyone stopped going into the stadium ?

All very clandestine, with no reason given. A bit like Tesco emailing me and telling me I am barred from all their shops until 2019 and my Tesco Points card will be retracted.

I wasn't trying to dig out other posters, but some fans apparently didn't go because of that email. Did anyone who didn't go , think perhaps they were guilty of something ? (e.g. Violence, or fireworks ?)
