I know, just watching sky sports and they're saying city have injury problems after today's game - no mention of palace injuries. Similarly the commentators kept banging on about how good City are at scoring late goals and surely they were going to get one late on to win the match. We've actually scored more goals in injury time (5) this season than they have (4). And we nearly did it to them too.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Dann and Puncheon' by Midlands Eagle Apparently both out for the rest of the season with serious ACL injuries. Apologies if I've missed a thread on this. [source: BBC quoting Hodgson] Leaves us with Sakho (currently injured), Tomkins (injury prone), Kelly with Delaney as back up plus possibly TF-M and Reidewald in an emergency. Think that may change our priorities for January. I personally think midfield is less of a worry.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Dann and Puncheon' by Midlands Eagle Centre back and centre forward are a priority now. I think they will leave a goalkeeper until the summer, unless we sell Henessey.

Wasn't expecting to see him contend until March. well, hes training. and you're right in what you're saying. we dont know what he'll be like when he's fit to play. im just wondering now, if our priorities might change. kelly is doing quite well, but tomkins also seems a bit injury prone (fingers crossed he stays fit). damo as a back up. gives his all, but age has caught up with him. reidewald can play there, but he looks more of a midfielder.

I've not seen if elsewhere in any other threads but in balance we have had 2 players injured for hacks on KdB. Both booked on the floor and both out for the season. KdB stretchered off and amazingly played 2 days later. I know we are Palace through and through but if it was the other way round everyone would be saying it's Karma.

there was actually. a couple of weeks ago on one of the many Connor Wickham threads. Just after one ITK poster had been saying his career was over. If I remember how to find it, I'll post it.

the media delighting in these injuries for an overblown tactical foul gone wrong shows what utter c***s they are, same goes for City's new customers

whilst it's not nice to see any player injured we do have cover at centre back and Punch was never going to be more than a bit part player for the rest of the season (assume he doesn't get jail time!!). If Sako's calf injury is not that bad and the Feb return date is still on track I think we can muddle through - we only have 3 more league games in Jan. Obviously we played Tomkins and Kelly against the Saints and we have Delaney as back up (who I think has been too quickly retired by some fans - he has been repeatedly proving us wrong over the last 5 years!!! He's also left footed which gives the team balance), and Riedeweld has played centre back for Holland. TFM is also more of a centre back than a right back so there are options. Have 1 missed someone - I'm sure it was stated we had 8 centre backs when we signed Sako? Anyway my priority would definitely be a centre forward or maybe 2 if one is a youngster, to complement Benteke - someone who can come on when we switch to 442 and maybe cover for injuries/ suspensions.
