If you are asking me to defend the Daily Mail, I won’t. Ask them, if you want that clarified. I fear you dodged the question, sir I was interested to see if your personal analysis of what constituted fascism (with its focus on liberals)would be consistent when addressing non- liberals.

I have not dodged a question. You asked me about an article that may or may not exist in a paper that I don’t read or particularly like. How can I answer that question based on the flimsy premise it was delivered upon? Edited by matt_himself (03 Jan 2018 6.28pm)

Any country that is effectively run by a Supreme Leader and their cabal needs an iron internal fist and a pervasive propaganda engine to keep dissent quashed. Groups putting their heads above the parapet to demand change are brave indeed. See also: Turkey, Saudi, Bahrain, Russia, Israel (Yitzhak Rabin, Palestine, Lebanon, Golan, lebensraum et al). I'd also argue that the US currently is similar in many ways to Russia, in that it's a police state run by and for the benefit of a cabal of plutocrats and oligarchs.
Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune) |

The leader of the opposition is not normally silent when there is an opportunity to talk about what he sees as unfairness or injustice. Yet after weeks of protests in Iran, Corbyn has said nothing. Perhaps that is because, before he became the Labour Party leader, he received up to £20,000 for presenting programmes on Iran's propaganda wing, 'Press TV'. He even continued to broadcast after Ofcom withdrew its licence to broadcast in the UK because of continual breaking of the rules of the Communications Act. Along with Corbyn, George Galloway was a regular broadcaster on Press TV.
