Totally disagree.

There was no pressure on the ball when Wilshere was in possession and one of our central defenders should have dropped off but they were caught square with Sanchez in the middle of them.Had this happened the player who dropped off could have cleared the ball.

Fair enough. I'd say the problem there was the first part of that sentence, where there was no pressure on the ball.

If one of the centre halves drops deep, then when Sanchez makes the same run it's a simple ball into feet, on the edge of the area?

If a centre-half had dropped off then the ball through to Sanchez could have been cut off and cleared.Sanchez got between the defenders who were square on, went past them and was able to control the ball before shooting.

Someone bought you FIFA 18 for Christmas, did they?

Pretty easy to say this sort of thing from your armchair. In the case you describe there were a number of options open to the Arsenal forwards and the real problem isn't that someone made a mistake or a wrong decision, but more that throughout the game we allowed too much pressure onto ourselves and against a good side when you do that something at some point is bound to give.

We've already got one world class player that rolls around on the floor and cries whenever he's tackled, not sure I could handle another.

If you are talking about Wilf you are talking out of your a*** How many games have you seen (live at the ground?)Wilf gets hacked to pieces day in day out with very little protection so he is entitled to complain..you wouldn't see any top 6 players with so little protection. I will add that I was very disappointed by Wilf on Thursday when he continued his complaints at half-time and got booked. I thought Michael Oliver handled it well and could have issued a red.
However please dont accuse Wilf of "rolling around and crying"

But a much easier pass into feet would have been available. As it was, the position of the defenders left Wilshere with a much more difficult option.

Perhaps if our midfield had put more pressure on him, the weight of the pass wouldn't have been so good?

It's like how we sit off, keeping shape and let some players shoot from distance. Most of the time, the ball ends up in the upper tier and it's a good strategy. You just have to accept that sometimes the ball is going to end up in the back of the net regardless.

Could have issued a red? Not even Madley would send Wilf off for a first offence of dissent!

It wasn't a first offence. He was warned, then get booked and then started clapping Oliver.

Plenty of other refs would have sent him off.

Although to be honest, I assumed the comparison was with Cabaye?

Tactical knowledge gained from qualifications - first time I have mentioned that on here.

We will have to agree to disagree on this one about a pass to feet.

Regards your scond point, the position of the defenders gave Wilshere an easy option. They were square and Wilshere just needed to drop the ball in over them to Sanchez who is quicker than the pair of them.
