He's been out of the squad for a while now - anyone seen him play for the U23s / anywhere else or have any feedback on him? Is he just not good enough? A shame - I hope he can come good. Not saying he should be in the starting line-up, but I'd have thought he'd merit a place on the bench as a flexible option who can play in both defence and midfield.

I've been wondering the same. Looked decent when coming on as sub in midfield a couple of times. Haven't heard he's injured and can't believe he's not good enough for the bench.

Would have him on the bench ahead of punch all day. More versatile than punch to as can play midfield or defence. Doesn't look like he's gonna get a chance this lad which is a shame as he's shown decent touches etc the short time we have seen him.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

Hopefully he will get a chance when the winter suspensions / injuries kick in, which they inevitably will. Good option to have

He's still very young, so hopefully he's patient and will get his chances. In the brief appearances I've seen he looks like a good passer, but maybe not much of a fighter, which is what we need right now.
