Either way i doubt we'll spend anywhere close to £30m in Jan, unless considerable income is generated through player sales.

I don't think the club are gonna spend big this window.

We could do with two players, keeper and striker but in the summer a heck of a lot of players contracts are up. Just think the club has to hold back until then, and that they will irrelevant of what we think is required.

I can hear the grief on here already.

There will always be speculation about any player that is performing well. It hasn't gone unnoticed that our performances have improved on his return...

So i am not concerned at all about other teams sniffing around, they would have to break the bank to get him...

[aye and if arsenal came in with a fair price 60-55 million then it would wrong of the club to stand in his way. wilf where every he plays has Palace in his heart just much as the rest of us. quote=Gary St.Andrews;3271784]

it's just daft. 200m from Real Madrid and he's gone. 20m from Southampton and he's not.

so it depends the size of the bid and who makes it. I'm sure he'd have mixed emotions about abandoning us in our hour of need but he'll get my thanks if he goes without sulking his way out. Hes done so much for us.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Unless a stupid offer comes in I don't see any reason why we'd sell our player who's just signed a new contract.

This morning eager to read the report on our win yesterday and how our form, performances and after yesterday luck have improved under Roy..

So I pick my paper up (The Sun) and basically read a whole report on how/why Wilf is too good to be playing for us, linking him with Spurs and Arsenal da de da..!!

I thought match reports were supposed to be a balanced opinion about the game, not picking out a single player exalting that players ability and dissing the rest of the team as "also rans"!!

Then to top it all he gives Wilf a 7 for performance the same as Tomkins, Sakho, RLC and Townsend - work that out..!!

Sun reporter Jordan Davies - made me wonder if he was a closet Brighton fan..!!

Back to the thread - Title is done and dusted, City are going to win it at a canter, even Pochettino has given it up!!

On that basis no one in the Prem is going to pay the money the club would want/demand for Wilf (£40M-£50M) in the January window, unless a bid comes in from left field from City or a top European club, both of which IMO unlikely.

Come the summer window, things are very less certain and if Wilf's form continues serious bids will come in.

Guess it all depends on where we are as a team/club - if relegated he will definitely go, even if not the lure of Champions League and top level football may turn his head.

If it does good luck to him and hope he does well - IMO in what ever profession you are in you want to be operating at the highest level your ability allows/affords you and mix it with the best.

Meantime let's enjoy Wilf and hope he and the boys can keep up the good form and take us up the table and to safety - because despite what Jordan Davies thinks we are not a one man team!!
