Well it's interesting that he's ruled himself out of the Everton job for the same reason as me - it was never offered to him.

With you on this one. Not in love with the man at all though I am grateful for the job he did. He used us to restore his reputation and we benfitted from that. While it’s his right I would feel aggrieved if after such a short time with us he returned to premiership management having retired on the premise he needed a break from club management. Less than a season is hardly a break and he can’t have needed it that badly if he resurfaces that soon. The biggest danger is he turns up at a relegation rival. If we go down at their expense the money we get back will be irrelevant.

Can't disagree with anything you say here.

I also believe there is an element of him not being able to work with the club hierachy long term and he probably did't have the stomach to rebuild us after the end of Pardews reign

Warnock was sacked.

Nevertheless, 10 years ago and 5 clubs ago ,

when appointed that's what he said

Didn't he turn down the Leicester job? That was mid October.

Sounds like you're frothing about nothing.

Actually I disagree as I think that a complete break of five or six months is quite a long time. It's long enough to recharge your batteries and to realise that perhaps you are happy to carry on for longer

Yes, I agree. I find it difficult to get upset with Sam on this. I supported him when he was here, don’t care about him now he is not. It’s all about where the next 11 wins will come from.

This reflects my view as well.

I am concerned about our current plight - what Allardyce does is of no concern to me.At the end of the day I am grateful he kept us up.
