Well I just want to congratulate the club on another complete fcuk up.

I got all the way to Copers Cope Road this lunch time to be told by the security guard it was behind closed doors and that he was told that on Friday.

Considering our chairman is supposed to have run a media related business worth tens of millions you would think he would know the importance of COMMUNICATION.

Taking the bungy jump since 1964. Never to see John Jackson in a shirt again

Sorry to see Lee Hills go, did we ever see Alex Marrow? We did January 2013

It's a joke, the supporters are way down the list of priorities.
They used to play at Tooting & Mitcham which was great, but now you never know where they are playing. Most of the time it's at the training ground, where we're not allowed to see them.
Seems like a penny pinching exercise to me when we have all the Premier League millions coming in.

As he put it complete fxxx up sums it up and feel for anyone who wasted there day turning up not sure if club have said sorry or any thing but important thing is lessons are learned from Monday. Maybe from now every under 23 game one or two days before game put on clubs official web site and twitter where game is selhurst training ground qpr training ground ect what time and most important is it behind closed doors or open to public it will then spread Holmsdale bbs ect and you won't have these embarrassing episodes

On the CPFC website it says "fans are not permitted to attend", what a cheek !
It's outrageous, I used to attend U23 games regularly,but now I'm banned
But I'm permitted to attend when they want to wring every penny from me to watch the first team.
It seems the longer the big money comes in the more detached the club is becoming from the supporters. But they should remember they might need us one day if we go down and all the fair weather fans disappear.

I know fans will be annoyed they can't go but least they know now and won't waste there time . Should imagine not great for players playing on a pitch with no stands or terracing around and at totting and Mitcham would have about 100 spectators many local kids who train there on adjoining pitch.must be like playing for your school when your a kid with few parents and your teacher watching you but then a under 23 player might be arsked to play at old trafford or selhurst big difference surely like someone else said they could afford to play at a local non league ground like most prem teams do

I doubt it's due to costs that they've decided to play so many games behind closed doors.

Have no idea the reason but can only imagine it's football related. Not wanting scouts from teir one academies maybe ?

Who knows but do we really think it's becuase they're penny pinching?

It cant be because of scouts because 30 odd scouts were let in a behind closed doors game on monday

Just a thought and it is only a guess. Could this be related to us not wanting to upset the neighbours over our planning permission? I appreciate that we lost but I assume we will be trying to re-present and maybe we just want to avoid antagonizing them?

the answer then is to play at a non league side like we used to tm or dh

Forgive the late reply but I was also at this game (?) and thought the treatment of people that had traveled disgraceful.
I'm sure it was advertised ( Twitter possibly ) somewhere that entry was acceptable either with a members card or season ticket otherwise I wouldn't of made the effort to travel.
Irrelevant of that is that such games should be accessible to the public both in principle and to follow PL and FA directives to encourage fans to attend youth games.
I work most Saturdays and this is simply a chance for me to watch and support Palace on my days off.
In attendance at this match was mainly a few elderly guys, a players father ( he forgot to email the club he was coming ) and a disabled man !!!
After being told we couldn't gain access we were directed to the cricket club ( a good 10 minute walk ) but that too was out of bounds as the watford players were changing there.
Then we were hemmed in a tiny area in the corner peering through closed gates for 45 minutes. Thankfully one gate was opened for the 2nd half but the view was still very restricted and the positioning awkward and uncomfortable ( especially for the disabled individual ).
The club should be ashamed of themselves and I hope there is some kind of backlash as a result of this appalling treatment
I will certainly be taking this further and I hope others do too

This issue was raised on Monday night at the Q&A with Dougie and Paddy. Dougie said that he had raised it with the chairman as soon as he heard about it and the policy would be changed with immediate effect. So, hopefully, unless I completely misunderstood what was said, this situation should not arise again.
