If we had a fit Bolasie now, Benteke would not be short of service. I would love to see him, Benteke and Zaha playing together.

Let's hope Roy has been working hard on how we get the best out of him. 4-5-1 or 4-4-1-1 or 4-3-3. Don't care really how we line up as long as he starts finding the back of the net.

We've had everyone playing up front once in recent times. Doesn't work short term, let alone medium or long term.

Well except for that Butterfield feller, that worked out all right

Alright on the night. Long term? No.

Specialist positions require specialist players.

Whatever your views of Bentenke, we have missed having a focal point for our attacks and although Zaha and Townsend have done well in the circumstances both drifted off to the wings leaving no one in the middle.

Personally I'm generally a big fan of Bentenke (there have been a few games where he's irked me). He does a lot more than just score. He wins most balls in the air and has some skill on the deck. He does seem to come alive when Zaha is linking up with him, so hopefully with both in the side we will see a resurgence in his form. I certainly don't think he will want to be outshone by his mates Sakho and Zaha. My only one negative is that sometimes he seems to play like he is a bit too concerned with how he looks, which seems in keeping with the "Stay Up All Night With Bentenke" song

Really?? The fact is and it is a fact, that we've looked much better going forward and have looked a much better team without him.

Yes we all know he's going to get back in the team, he's impossible to leave out the money we paid for him, but he seriously needs to shape up this season and start playing like he cares, and that's not just putting the ball in the net, it's his general demeanor and workrate as well, let's hope with the injury lay off he'll be a bit more fired up!!

According to Talksport Bentenke is fit for the game against Everton. Loftus Cheek missed training and maybe out.

He won't be there on Saturday. I'm sure I saw on BBC news recently that Big Ben will be out of use for the next 4 years.

If, as you say, we looked better going forward without him, why are most lambasting Parish for not having any back up.
Nearer the truth is that Roy and Ray are getting the team to play to there strengths, but we still miss a lead striker to occupy the opposition defence. He gives the team options, we just haven't had going forward.
