All my first ever posted topic, but had to do it..!! You'll guess from my user name - I may have a little interest/connections to the East End of our fair City, despite being born in Mayday and living my first 5 years on Holmesdale Road. As you can imagine over the years I've taken a certain amount of stick and abuse from family and friends - this season has been particularly hard to bear. Then all my dreams come true - they sack Blilic and reportedly have appointed Moyes on a 6 month interim deal. There is a lot of disgruntlement and feather spitting in the East End tonight. IMO Roy is 10 times the manager Moyes is. A lot of very unhappy Wet Spam fans - appy days..!! COYP..!!

Moyes is a great builder of teams but how does one man build a team in a few weeks with angry supporters used to great football (yeah). This could very well go belly up for them, still one less team to worry about.
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

It's good to see there are a few clubs to laugh at, at the mo, but just like The clowns and Curbs West Ham were desperate to get rid of Sam so they could progress I bet they would have him back now.

Following his experiences at Man Utd, Real Sociedad and Sunderland, if he fails at W.Ham then Chairmen and Boards might not see him as an attractive proposition with regard to managing therir clubs and his options might be very limited. One can just imagine the reaction on here if we had appointed Moyes instead of Hodgson.

Can't see Moyes making an impact there, think the West Ham faithful are completely underwhelmed with that appointment. Next stop for Moyes will be somewhere like Hamilton Academical's if he is lucky! :)

I read today that Moyes is meant to be very get at getting fitness levels up and many believe this is what West Ham need. Personally I think he'll be a flop but that in it's self might not be enough for them to go down. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. But boy would I love it if they did. West Ham have actually had very easy run of games so far. So now have a bitch if a run and I think they'll sink up till mid December. That's a huge amount of time for the fans to get on the owners back about a manager they don't want. Now I'm not saying they'll go down but I'm absolutely certain they'll be in the bottom three and most likely bottom two come Xmas. Anyone who thinks we've a crap chairman only needs to look at those two wallys to see there's always worse.

When Moyes took over from Allardyce at Sunderland they only got their first win after 11 games. A similar start at W.Ham and the fans really will be on his back.

Time will tell, but if I were a West Ham fan I wouldn't exactly be dancing in the street with the news of the appointment of their new manager. There are some managers who seem to have their "moment in time" at a particular club, which, somehow, they can never quite recapture elsewhere. For Moyes it was at Everton, although to be fair, it was quite a long moment in time.

West Ham lose their next Two and the fans will be on his back. West Ham deserve to go down. Taxpayers stadium will be half empty next season if that happened.

even better when Sullivan states in a newspaper article that Moyes' appointment is a big gamble. Lets hope so,
