No not saying that he played 20mins of yet another come back game from near death career threatening injury, which for me means give the guy alittle slack not tear his heart out for a heart felt gesture

Park, I absolutely agree ... All I would like to add is that if someone is deemed "not fit to wear the shirt" then that player, by definition, must also have the shirt thrown back at him. Of course, this does not apply to Papa and referring to my original post, I was only querying if the outrage caused was because it was Papa and not any other player. By the way you have to love Julian... who defends the fan throwing the shirt on Sky Sports. What he said was that he understands the frustrations of supporters which led to the incident which is what I have been saying !

Right or wrong I think it's clear many have had enough. Clutching, I know, but could this be the straw that finally binds this bunch together and they start to find their way again. This was a clear message to ALL at the club. The goodwill from Chelsea has dissapated and the failure at Newcastle meant Tuesday was bigger than it should have been. Losing so badly plus the shirt episode could and hopefully is the turning point of our season.

I wouldn’t say it was directed straight at Pape, I’ve seen the video myself and if the shirt was thrown back for anything, it would in defiance of a shocking team performance. A symbol for the team of ‘simply not good enough’. No doubt Puncheon saw what happened, walked Pape off and would’ve said something in the changing room. That whole back 5 should not be conceding 4 to a Championship team. Zero fight, zero balls. They need to be told/shown we ain’t having it. Edited by Bekken (25 Oct 2017 7.57am)
