I still believe this team are good enough. But is Schlupp really a better option up front than Ladapo. Hodgson as manager does not inspire. Glad Jimmy Mac is back with Wilf. Let the season start today.

That awkward moment when you question the managers tactics before we beat the champions

Schlupp wasnt striker today! If you are going to be critical on a day like this then at least get your facts right! We didnt play with a striker at all imo. Roy was spot on today!

Wilf was the striker today, he drifted out a fair amount but you could see in the second half where he had been told to play.

TBf the op made his comments before the game started. Not sure why he thought schlupp was playing as a CF though..

He had more of a free role in the 1st half. Because we had the ball and we're going at them. Game changed 2nd half so he and we didn't have that luxury. It might change again with cheek in v Newcastle.

Roy formulates a side to beat the champs and you think he will change it next week? Keepers maybe. But...What if Roy changes the team and Palace lose, what will we say?

Ok he might ease cheek back after being out but he is without doubt the best attacking central midfielder. His control, strength, pass precision and everything combined p1sses on every player at the club going forward. Did you see some of the goal scoring positions he got into v man c? Roy is going to have a few things to consider.

Newcastle won't be complacent or lacking the focus and determination Chelsea did in the 1st half. Do you think that was a Champions performance 1st half? Looked like they thought it would be easy and didn't account for early tackles and us being determined to win every ball.

We'll need somebody of quality to occupy 2 central defenders as opposed to 1 next week.

Concerned about PVA what with his price tag and salary and what he has shown so far. Someone with that 'worth' should have a lot more composure.

I believe....but only because Sakho and Wilf are now playing and that Roy is a genuine childhood Palace fan who cares. Really cares.

Never change a winning team. RLC will need to earn his place back. Cabaye and Lula looked very good together for me, but then everyone was very good today.

Although we should have scored a couple more with better decision making!

You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue
Yours sincerely
