I read only yesterday the medical staff have put NO estimated return date for Wickham because his recovery has been (and continues to be) littered with complications.

To be fair to BD, I had to look about ten times before I spotted the "back soon" may well be our generation and inability to do social media. Even so "back soon" is a very "relative" term if you have been injured forever. Originally posted by Southampton_Eagle

does it even matter when this guys back its not like he has a great scoring record and almost al the games he didnt even look interested something a former manager even stated about him he likes the glam nothing else

Wickham himself posting some cryptic little diagram on social media a month ago (dated 13 September) hardly constitutes a medical diagnosis and clearly demonstrates that "soon" isn't being used in the generally accepted sense. There has been no indication from the club, or elsewhere, that Wickham is any nearer to a "return" than he was at the start of the season. On a separate note, I was pleased to see that he has a gold-plated 'phone; he'll possibly be the only player in the Championship with one of those.

I don't think the fella who started the thread was really looking to post 'a medical diagnosis' I think it was just a little Ray of hope as we're desperate for a striker and a goal or two!! At best we'll have a striker after 13 league games and a third of the way through the season, or maybe even halfway through the season. Something to be positive about at Christmas. Going through the motions with the squad picking up another £40 -45 mil as we pathetically and deservedly get relegated.
