The only other country to win the u-20 and u-17 world cups in the same year.......Brazil.

We obviously have quality here, trouble is these guys won't get a look in at their premiership clubs.

Jump ship now lads.

Brewster scores the goals but Foden runs the show. Liverpool and Man City respectively. I think both of these will get chances in their teams next season, they are that good.

Foden is absolute quality.

How the hell is going to get ahead of the likes of Sane, Sterling, Silva etc ?

I can see alot of these youngsters making an impression on the 1st team next season if we go down.

Kirby, Flanagan, Wan-Bissaka, Dreher, Phillips etc.

Yes, please - but earlier in the Premiership.

so that's the England conundrum

Our players are world beaters when they are young and raw. But they never or rarely go on to fulfill that early promise

Same could be said of alot of players, Walcott, Lennon, SWP all looked like they could become world class players but their careers just petered out into mediocrity.

Look at Owen and Rooney (for example) although they had decent careers they were at their absolute best at the very start of their careers and never reached the same heights.

Why is this? Why do we produce so many talented youngsters who careers, in nearly all cases, only ever go downhill ?

It's heartbreaking to think that these young talented guys will be wasted as a result of our Premier League which has no interest in the national team. We should stop the nonsense now and introduce a quota system, a successful national side is what we need. I hold Man United responsible for stopping Wilf's England career in its tracks.
