We are Crystal Palace and not Man Utd, sacking Managers after a Cup Final. I wanted any of the 3 but not Frank. Couldn't believe what we were doing when I heard. Not only did Parish sack Pardew too late but he actually extended his contract. They were so close I think they may have moved in together during the week. Neither challenged each other and professionally that's unhealthy, especially in pro football. Yes the idea is to get as high as you can in the league, not think you can be clever with signings on the last day and specifically positions with only one player. The silver lining for relegation will be either Parish finally learning a lesson or handing football decisions over, and a new manager that is a logical choice and hopefully one for building something and not ex Palace. I'd look in Huddersfield or Sheffield utd's manager direction.

His dream since he was a wee lad.

Prepare properly and it could go okay. Don't prepare and prepare to fail. Better start applying all those successful business principles rather than decision to decision lacking continuity or logic.

This isn't supposed to be a rag tag outfit like Millwall. Didn't we have only 1 left back last season (don't count Fryers) and then that misfortune was made worse by playing a right sided cb at left back?
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

"Coincidentally", things seemed to start going south from the moment the Americans came on board. Could it be that the Americans have made some of the decisions that we would consider strange? Originally posted by Willo

Possible. If he were to talk them round on the phone he could say, ''To understand how difficult it is without a left back, try signing your name with your weak hand.'' ''To understand how difficult it is without a striker, try removing your PA.''

That was SP's biggest mistake - as you say - he should have sacked Pardew after the Cup Final but instead he totally ignored 11 points in 19 PL games and extended his contract.
