Worrying about the team's problems and the shortfall in any signings is just the point I'm making. We just can't keep doing this season on season. There must be a better way and this is what Mr Parish is talking about. Relegation for a while until the club is established on more solid foundations has for to be the answer.
And yes, before our record five seasons at the top Palace did yo-yo and, except for some even worse clubs, Palace would have continued to do so.

We are Crystal Palace. Every time we have thrived in the past it has been a mix of a great goalkeeper, home-grown talent and some very well scouted cheap talent and a couple of experienced old hands thrown in. All hungry players, no big-time Charlies and all focused in the same direction. The £££ has made the Chairman forget all that.

Keep the faith guys, let's get these two games out of the way, hope get some surprise points, then we kick on and get out of this mess. Nothing we can do about the striker situation, but what we can do is lift the players we have. f*** sake guys, what happened to some of you?? Despite the club's current plight we need to keep our eyes on the horizon. Are we really to expect Palace will go on, season after season, scrambling for whatever points they can manage, paying huge amounts on gambles and seeing the manager turnstile as the most active?
Mr Parish has decided enough is enough and is putting his money where his mouth is. To take that next step from yoyoing nearlies to standard EPL membership with chances of Europe, needs that vision. Dropping a division though painful in the short term is preferable to forever pretending to be big whilst staying little.

I still think that we'll be fine. Really looking forward to not only us proving the footballing world wrong again, but also Roy proving his detractors wrong as well. He's a real gent and also knows his stuff much more than most of the idiots who put him down give him credit for.

Is doing things differently buying a defender for £27million or whatever it was? It was a ridiculous transfer, one which Parish has already attempted to blame the fans for, and it will look even more ridiculous if we end up in the championship with Mamadou Sakho on our books!
